Stolen Goods

Book – Stolen Goods
Series – To Catch a Thief, #2
Author – Kay Marie
Genre – Contemporary Romance

Release Date – 7 January 2019

This is my second novel read by the author, Kay Marie.  And this was yet another joyride with the characters I know and love from the first novel.  Picking up where the first one left off, with the viewpoint of Thaddeus and Addison, we get to see their journey after the fallout of the heist we saw in book one.  This is the one book that I devoured in one day, and I have absolutely no regrets whatsoever.

Family – Jolene and Thaddeus’s friendship, the history that is shown in this book of these two and the things they have gone through, shows just how close they are and why they are practically family.

Romance – Addison, and Thaddeus do not fall in love instantly.  This romance feels more realistic, given that Addison is a hopeless romantic who wants to be swept off her feet.

Plot – Thaddeus is not the run from the Feds and the Russian Mafia after he and Jo stole a very expensive painting for the Russians as their last heist.  More about this plot is impossible to delve into, except to say that Thaddeus is on the run and needs to tell Jo that he is okay…

Writing – I love Kay’s writing.  It’s straight-forward, easy to read and fun.  There is humor when needed, and her characters are real with flaws and mistakes…

Overall – Another wonderful read from Kay, and I cannot wait for the next installment later this year.

Yes, I know this review is short and sweet, but since this is the second novel in the series, I don’t want to give too much away.  It is best, in my opinion, to go into this series knowing as little as possible, to fully enjoy every twist and turn.  This is a fun, easy, fast read.  A summer must have!
